TypeArc is a browser-based typing practice website. You can use the test without creating an account.
Local typing results
Typed characters are checked in your browser against practice text. Your completed-test statistics, results history, daily streak and theme preference are stored in your browser's localStorage. The app does not intentionally upload your keystrokes, custom text, or progress to an application server. Use Clear local history on the main page or clear site data in your browser to remove locally saved results.
Optional device-only profiles
If you create a profile, your chosen username, the last four digits of your mobile number, random salts, password-verification hash and mobile-number-verification hash are stored only in this browser. Your full mobile number and password are not saved as plain text. The hashes cannot provide strong account security against someone with access to your device or browser storage. Mobile numbers are not verified by SMS. There is no online account, password recovery or automatic syncing to other devices. Individual profile histories are kept separately in this browser. You can sign out, play as Guest, or delete your local profile and its scores from the profile menu; clearing site data removes all local profiles and scores.
Website hosting
Cloudflare hosts the static website and may process IP addresses, request data, browser information and security logs to deliver the site and prevent abuse. Infrastructure processing is separate from the typing results stored in your browser.
Analytics, cookies and advertising
At launch, this website has no Google AdSense code, live ads or configured advertising cookies. The advertisement placeholder is not an active ad. If analytics or advertising is activated, this policy will be updated to describe those services and any applicable consent choices before activation.
