TypeArc is a free typing speed and accuracy test built for casual practice and personal improvement. Choose timed tests, fixed word counts, original quote passages, custom text, and several vocabulary packs.
How the scores work
WPM divides the number of correct characters by five and then by the time in minutes. Raw WPM counts all entered characters. Accuracy is the proportion of current correct characters, while consistency estimates how stable your speed stays between chart samples. Scores are educational estimates, not official credentials.
Built for your browser
Test inputs are processed in your browser. Completed scores, error-key summaries and progress are saved locally on your device without requiring a user account. Clear local history whenever you want. The heatmap shows which letters appeared in mistakes during the last completed test.
